Some of TG's best work
I really think this EP is Tommy's strongest release. 'By Fist and Fury' is incredible; my favourite tune he's ever produced on any of his albums. 'Archaic Days' is a familiar TG-style soulful jam, and 'Knives Fighting Guns' is a cool little lo-fi tune with a spaghetti-Western influence. 'Spider and the Monkey' has a cinematic feel and a very clean production quality; the clear bassline and the sharp horn sample work well together. 'Dead Waters' is a little sleepy, but still a pleasant listen. Tommy's next LP, 'From the Soul to the Soil' is worth checking out, but I was hoping he'd continue in the direction that this EP suggests. Perhaps another energetic tune such as 'By Fist and Fury' will follow in the not-too-distant future.
Great chillout
A great EP. Just a little jazzy / chill out / beats / riffs. really cool vibe, and a great intro to the musical stylings of Tommy Guerrero.
