Candy for the soul
Makes you want to dance and sing!
Wow!
I, too, heard this electrifying group live. They are FUN! Their talent and style are infectious and no one genre could possibly contain them. Cajun/zydeco never did much for me, but this is a whole different story. I can't wait to get my hands on more product. Please, L'Angelus, record more soon! Their songs are so substantial for such young composers. And the excruciatingly beautiful sibling harmonies, especially on The Waltz Of The Sorrowful Mysteries, are amazing. They respectfully tip their hats to their tradition on several of the tracks on this CD, but it is the original and more contemporary sounding stuff that shines. Check out their videos on the website. Fun, Fun, Fun! This is as good a band as I've ever heard.
Ca C'est Bon
This is by far the best cajun album i own, and i can't wait to get the next one that is in the making. Great harmonies and the fiddle player is freakin awesome.
