Customer Reviews

Act like you know...

This album is flawless. If it was a hip hop album it would get 5 mics.If it was an emo album it would get 5 tear drops. But it's a MSTRKRFT album so it gets 5 bottles of crown.

Good, but there's better disco-house out there.

This is a solid debut featuring half of the now defunct-Death From Above 1979 duo as well as the producer of their outstanding post-hardcore full-length "I'm A Woman You're A Man." With keepers like Easy Love and Street Justice, it's easy to see that this dynamic, heavily French-house influenced duo has a promising future. But as one reviewer said, some of the songs feel like they are missing something. Perhaps a funky bass groove could have made Work On You the best dance song of the year, but sometimes the songs feel incomplete. Still, if you're a fan of Justice and Daft Punk, you will most likely enjoy this album. Just don't expect it to be better than "Waters of Nazareth" or "Discovery." A note to the readers- MSTRKRFT does NOT feature either members of Daft Punk.

Daft-a-tude

I'll make this my shortest review on iTunes. If you are a fan of anything sounding robotic, techno, or dance music, these guys are worth a look, think of them as Daft with bite.

MSTRKRFT (pronounced "master kraft") are the Daft Punk-loving alter ego of Death from Above 1979's Jesse F. Keeler along with producer Al-P. In addition to releasing two singles ("Easy Love" and "Work on You") and an LP in July 2006 on Last Gang Records, MSTRKRFT have remixed several buzz bands such as Metric, Wolfmother, the Kills, and Bloc Party.
