What a great album. (and LP is here!)

Like most other die-hard LP fans, I had this album before it was released, but It's still a great album, and LP's best in my opinion. Here's the lowdown on all of the songs. Foreword- Can't rate this one Don't Stay- Great way to kick off the album, fast-paced, heavy, vintage LP song. 9/10 Somewhere I Belong- This could be my favorite LP song ever. With Chester belting out the well-written lyrics, It's one of the best on the album. 10/10 Lying From You- A really catchy song with a great beet. 9/10 Hit the Floor- I'm a little shaky on this song, Mike raps in most of it, which isn't bad, but I think it takes away from the album a little. 7/10 Easier to Run- This song never grew on me. To me, it just sounds like a bad attempt to re-do "Numb". 6/10 Faint- A really great song that will keep your foot tapping the whole song. 9/10 Figure.09- This is one of my personal favorites. It's the perfect balance of Chester's vocals and Mike's rapping. 10/10 Breaking the Habit- A song you would not expect to see on an LP album. A soft song with not a lot of Chester's screaming incorporated. The uniqueness of this song, though, makes it one of the best on the album. 10/10 Nobody's Listening- This is a real love/hate song. I personally love it, I think Mike has his best rapping on this song, mixing with some sort of Middle-Eastern type of beet in the background, It might be a change from the rest album, but I think it's a real fun song to listen to. 10/10 Session- Pretty good for all-instrumental. 8/10 Numb- A great way to close the album, possibly LP's most widely recoginzed song. 10/10 I'm sure the bonus tracks are great, but I'd highly recommend this album to everyone, both LP fans and newcomers to Nu-Metal alike.

Thank you for finnaly giving us Linkin Park.

You finnaly realized that the other fake stuff was crap. Now you need to fix AC/DC.

Lyrics for "breaking the habit"

Memories consume like opening the wound I'm picking me apart again You all assume I'm safe here in my room [unless I try to start again] [chorus] I don't want to be the one the battles always choose cause inside I realize that I'm the one confused I don't know what's worth fighting for or why I have to scream I don't know why I instigate and say what I don't mean I don't know how I got this way I know it's not alright So I'm breaking the habit I'm breaking the habit tonight Clutching my cure I tightly lock the door I try to catch my breath again I hurt much more than anytime before I had no options left again [chorus] I don't know what's worth fighting for or why I have to scream I don't know why instigate and say what I don't mean I don't know how I got this way I'll never be alright So I'm breaking the habit I'm breaking the habit tonight I'll paint it on the walls cause I'm the one at fault I'll never fight again and this is how it ends I don't know what's worth fighting for or why I have to scream But now I have some clarity to show you what I mean I don't know how I got this way I'll never be alright So I'm breaking the habit I'm breaking the habit I'm breaking the habit tonight

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Although rooted in alternative metal, Linkin Park became one of the most successful acts of the early 2000s by welcoming elements of hip-hop, modern rock, and atmospheric electronica into their music. The band's rise was indebted to the aggressive rap-rock movement made popular by the likes of Korn and Limp Bizkit, a movement that paired grunge's alienation with a bold, buzzing soundtrack. Linkin Park added a unique spin to that formula, however, focusing as much on the vocal interplay between singer...
