First to book them in the San Francisco Bay Area :)

I was the first to book this band in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2004. It was a show with their friend Mt. Sims and the show didn't do very well. I had heard their music including a demo of "Le Disko" and thought that this band would do very well. I'd always been a big fan of this genre of music. I was sad to see that more people didn't come to the show though. Three months later this band was featured in the "On the rise" section of CMJ and were playing The Warfield with Bob Mould (Husker Du). The next time they came through the Bay Area they played Slim's with Kill Hannah (thanks Jeremy for getting me passes) which was an amazing show. That was the first time I'd seen them with their new drummer, which by the way was amazing. He has some amazing energy which had me focused on him the whole time. The next thing I knew they were signed to Universal and most recently had a nice feature in AP Magazine. These guys are all super nice and DESERVE all the success they're receiving. Do yourself a favor and get this album. It's been in my Top 10 since I heard it in 2004. Now with it's official release in 2006 I can honestly say that it has a better sound. It definitely has a more rich sound. Great job guys!!

Some new tunes, to an already exceptional cd.

This is the Official 'We Are Pilots' album. The Shiny Toy Guns, 'other' disc was a demo. This finalized version includes reworked versions of 'Le Disko', 'You Are The One' and 'When They Came For Us' and 'Shaken'. They re-worked them for the better, too. New songs, include 'Chemistry of a Car Crash', 'Jackie Will Save Me', and 'Starts With One', all exceptional and supremely musically strong, rythmic, sonic and insanely catchy. I am proud to say that I have met this band and they are extremely human. Very sweet and nice. They play as well and sound as good, if not BETTER, vocally...live. I love this album. I really, do. It is quite electronic, polished and above all, talent filled. I hope to hear more from the STG's.
