The Beautiful Girls expand.... beautifully

After even previewing the tracks, and reading the mediocre but empty itunes reviews, I was so curious, that I had to buy the album. Even from the 30 second clips, I could tell that this album wasn't the same as the last one. In We're Already Gone, two genere's of music are mixed in to an unusual concoction: Blues and Regge. While after listening to their previous album, Learn Yourself, a listener would go in to this album expecting the same laid back vocals and soothing accoustic guitar. However, this music has a much darker overtune, and many different style changes. While some tracks will probaly soothe listeners pallets more than others because of the different combinations of styles, this album probaly isn't for the average beach bum the last album was targeted towards (which I also loved). The most important thing about this album is that The Beautiful Girls range increases, and they score 10 out of 10's across the board in every new genre that they attempt.

A Little Disappointed....

I was a little disappointed by this album. I'm a big fan of "Learn Yourself" and I think "Water" is solid, but I got a different vibe from this disc. It has the reggae atmosphere down, but it seems dark and a little depressing. This is such a contrast from "Learn Yourself", which I feel is filled with accoustic and funky numbers that feel good to the soul - the kind of music that puts you in a good mood. It's a decent album don't get me wrong, just not what I was expecting out this band. They need more acoustic tracks like "Let's Take the Long Way Home" and"When I Had You With Me."

its mediocre go for the other ablums, they are way better

the other albums thy have are way way better check those ones out first
