Album Review
Apart from improved sound, not a great deal separates Platinum & Gold Collection from the other A Flock of Seagulls anthologies. This effectively replaces the best-of released in 1987 by Jive, though one third of the track selection is different. Instead of "Transfer Affection," "Who's That Girl (She's Got It)," "(It's Not Me) Talking," and the nine-minute mix of "Space Age Love Song," this comp features "Don't Ask Me," "You Can't Run," "Heartbeat Like a Drum," and "Modern Love Is Automatic." All of the necessary singles — "Space Age Love Song," "I Ran (So Far Away)," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)," and "Telecommunication" — are provided, and you don't need to go beyond that.

great 80's songs
I downloaded I Ran and Space Age Love Song from the original album circa '82 and both from this album.I recommend the songs from this album.They sound clearer,just as good as the originals only better.

That, "guy on the far right" is Paul Reynolds. He joined A Flock of Seagulls at age 17 and is one of the best gutiarists to ever walk the planet.
