Mattafix Does Good

First review! Has iTunes actually listened to its users? This truly is a miracle. They've had cover versions and random promotional singles for over a year, but they finally got this album (released in 2005, not 2008!). I'm sure the fans and reviewers will be pleased. Well played, iTunes, this pacifies me temporarily. I had to import this used from Amazon, but it was worth it. "Big City Life" is a truly amazing song and was featured in one of the FIFA soundtracks in recent years. Hip-Hop/Rap doesn't really fit here, it's more of a Reggae/R&B album. Other standout tracks include "Ganster Blues," "Passer By," "Clear and Present Danger," "I to You," and the final song, "Cool Down the Pace," the closest thing to a reggae track. The album varies widely and the singer does a wonderful job of setting a cool mood across the whole thing. Start with "Big City Life" and see what you think--it's an epic song.

Hidden Gem of an album

Mattafix is smooth and intoxicating. If you haven't heard them you'll wonder why you haven't, and if you have, I know you can't get enough. My favorites are "Big City Life" ( of course) and "To and Fro". I'm glad they are finally on itunes. Better late than never. Treat yourself to Mattafix.

Big City Life!

Ok, I can't say much about the rest of the album yet, but I love "Big City Life". I spent 6 months in Europe a few years ago and it was one of the biggest songs on the continent. When I got home I tried to buy it and I couldn't find it anywhere in the US. Thank you iTunes for finally putting this up!
