Album Review

Limp's third album, which is self-titled, finds the band back after three years since their previous release. This album finds the band playing very mature pop-punk, not like much of the juvenile punk on Honest Don's and Fat Wreck Chords. A darker edge is also displayed, although it's restrained. However, it will no doubt leave the listener pleasantly surprised. Just like much of the pop-punk catalog, Limp's album is filled with hooks and melodies a plenty. The closest comparison one might be able to draw is to Slick Shoes, although Limp seems to do a pretty good job of separating themselves from the pack. Standard fare in many regards, but what the band does, they do well on this 11-song disc.

Customer Reviews

the best cd i've gotten in a while...

pick this up immediatly if you like pop-punk, or melodic punk, or just any good music, really. Everyone in this band is super-tight and are all very much proffesional sounding on their instruments. I had never had every song on a cd stuck in my head at the same time before I bought this. the hooks are everywhere. ryan greene's production is very good as well. I swear that if green day had released this cd, it would be a huge inter-national hit. no exaggerating. this is the best modern pop-punk cd ever released.
