Too cool for the U.S.

These guys just dont get enough credit for their brilliance. Imagine Mogwai with emo lyrics. Imagine Trapt without the cheesy arrangements. Biffy is very unique, very skillfull, rather diverse, and very enjoyable. The only song that I don't like on this album is track 4; too scream-o. The rest of Blackened Sky has some awesome acoustic riffs that (usually) transforms into even better power guitar tunes in the middle of the song. This whole album is great to yell along with. Biffy deserves a stronger American fanbase.

There is still hope for our generation of music

I first met The Biffys on warped tour. I was walking by stage right and they're guitar tech said to me in his native scottish accent, Hey you said your a bit of a math rock kinda guy eh? He obviously heard an earlier conversation about rush, porcupine tree, etc. etc. I said yeah, love it.. He insisted that I stick around and listen to this next song (stress on the sky) so I figured what the hell, power is up for the show. after hearing them play, I made it routine to see them play every day after that on the rest of the tour. Not only does this bands music reach and restore hope for the garbage that is out there today. They are some of the nicest guys as well. They made theyre rounds around to the entire production and thanked them and gave a goodbye. Not many bands do that on a tour like warped tour. stand up guys, amazing musicians!!!

Biffy

great lyrics, great music, great band. even though this (and all their cds) ar great, they cant hold a candle to thier live show. not to be missed. if you do, you'll regret it the rest of your life. so take heed.
