AZ lives on

The Format is a promising album, that shows a rapper not at his prime but, close enough. The only problem with this album is that the themes are pretty narrow and AZ doesn't venture into new territory. The songs still make up by having top notch production and arguably the most gifted emcee active today. DJ Premier (the equivalent of Dr Dre to the West Coast) comes up with some new sounds. Overall, AZ is an overlooked emcee. He does have very boring album artwork and his stage name definetely isn't the most catchiest. This time give him a chance.
