Quality indie shoegaze emo pop
Just about as niche as it gets. AmAnSet pretty much sets the bar for the genre. Glockenspiel, violin, cymbal & drum brushes, relationships, post-college, 20-30 somethings… I think this is the best of their efforts. Any aging indie rocker needs this essential record in her collection.

A drone-pop quartet hailing from Austin, TX, the American Analog Set evolved from the ashes of Dallas' Electric Company in 1994. After Electric Company's demise, guitarist/vocalist Andrew Kenny, keyboardist Lisa Roschmann, and drummer Mark Smith reunited to cut a number of impromptu four-track recordings that ultimately led to their decision to re-form as a group.
