Album Review
Oxnard, SC, skatepunks from 1983 with "Intense Energy" (the well-named killer here that originally appeared on the super period compilation Someone's Gonna Get Their Head Kicked In), teen natural amphetamines, and a few real hot tunes. Pummeling edge and clear singing are a real plus. Not exactly T.S. Eliot in the lyrics department, but like Jody Foster's Army, Agression completely anticipated the mixing of cultures (punks and skateboard enthusiasts) forever documented in Thrasher mag.

Pure Adolescents Skate Punk Energy
"Don't be Mistaken" stands right up their with "Adolescents. It has everything a Great Skate Punk record has. Sneering Vocals, Pure Adolescent Energy, and obnoxious as Hell Guitar solos. Also Reccomended: Adolescent's "Adolescents" Agent Orange's "Living in Darkness" ILL Repute's "What Happens Next" and Black Flag's "Damaged" and "Nervous Breakdown EP".
skatecore at its best
I grew up listening to these guys and more. It's great to see the old school stuff showing up on here. This was the best stuff to listen to while skating and I'm glad it's on here. True punk rock, right here. Not like the stuff they're calling punk now. If you want real hardcore punk, get this and you may also like bands like JFA, pillsbury hardcore, fang, white flag....
Skate Punk
Don't bother with the "Best of" or later versions, this is the real thing and the original. By far the best version of Intense Energy, and the often overlooked Dear John Letter. Oh....to be back at Fenders in Long Beach in the front row again.....
