Ida the Spider
This is just about the most original band i have encountered in all my years of wandering. To see them play live is an experience per se, Robin the Hammer plays the slide and sings as though "that's what he does man"his voice is beyond original, it has been mellowed by years of blues and scotch, his slide guitar is simply an extension of himself. JBird the drummer aside for also writing songs, does this incredibly complicated riffs which are baffling an un expected AND he plays with his little 7 year old boy by his side Mackie who plays along with his dad and never misses a beat, Jbird ia always aware of him and teaches him while also riffing and singing, then there is the bass player and singer, also Mackie's mother,and Robin's daughter Acacia, who simply cannot be from this world....she is mind blowing, gorgeous with a voice as soft as velvet and as dark as a new moon, her bass playing is flawless and her singing and presence keep you mesmerized. Ida the Spider has humor and density and leaves you satisfied. BUY IT! eevlwich
