welcome back
At first listen, I thought maybe this didn't quite stand up to 'A Prayer to Myself,' but a week later, I find that I've been playing this album daily. 'If the Stars Could Speak...' has a great atmosphere. Favorites include, "Hyper-aware," "Sensation Blvd," and "Telescope Eyes." I think I've found the first addition to this year's summer soundtrack. Welcome back, Helen Stellar, you've been missed!
AMAZING!
this is the anticipated full length album, and it could not be anymore gorgeous.
each song has a different feel. some favorites include the opening song, 'joseph', wiht its staccato drum beats, to the glowing guitars, it is great. 'hyper aware' is another favorite - when the transition happens, it sounds like a whole, new song!
you will not be disappointed with this album!
It's called Shoegaze...
Do your research people... HELEN STELLaR have done justice to the Shoegaze sound and rank high up there with Ride, The Pale Saints, Swervedriver, and My Bloody Valentine, amongst other well known Shoegaze artists. Most noted tracks are the title opener Joseph, Persistence, From Here On, Sensation Blvd, Hopeless Romantic, and Show Me The Good. This album is full of energy, great lyrics, and tremendous percussion. These guys ROCK!!!
