Donna's writing skills continue to tell stories from the heart. Her singing ability pulls you into the story and makes you
believe the song was written from your own experiences. This particular tune is one that has planted its self in my mind
and heart...GREAT job, Donna. If you haven't gotten this one, you are missing out....BRAVO!!!
If you knew your heart
Just the title makes you want to listen. Most songs require both good words and good music to be successful. Yours don't, The words ARE the song. This is not a song to tap your feet or drum your fingers to, it is a song to stop what you are doing and listen. In fact, I believe that in this one the music overshadows the words. I had to listen to it over and over (not a bad thing since I listen to your other songs over and over) to get the words. Your words continue to speak from the heart and only require music as an accompanyment. The measure of a good song is if it viable in other venues and although I have trouble seeing it in hip-hop, I see it as successful in any venue it would be recorded in. As with "Its This", here is a young woman who knows who she is and how strong her love is. Can you look her in the eye and return love for love or are you going to blink? If you blink, you will miss the best thing that ever walked in your door. You have real talent in writing, Donna, keep it up. There are lots of us looking for those words to ease our hearts.
