Gorgeous
By the way, to the person who gave this album 2 stars you are a dolt. Anyone who would buy an itunes album for the cover is an idiot, also it is choral music not rave, for crying out loud. Please do try not show your ignorance so transparently!
Good Collection of Neo-Renaissance Choral Works
This is a very interesting collection of works ranging early 20th Century works to more recent pieces that have an Eastern Orthodox tinge. All are performed extremely well and with great subtlety by the well-regarded "The Sixteen" with a very high production quality. All-inall fantastic album. I do wonder why some of the people who bought this album and did not like didn't bother to listen to it first? (You can do that on I-tunes you know.) Or perhaps they are just babbling about things that they are ignorant about merely for the sake of hearing themselves speak? If you go to a choral concert expecting techno you deserve to be disapointed. (BTW - most of this music DOES have a beat. It's just not the machine-driven head-bopping kind.)
Music for all
I'm no Christian but I have to say that it is a beautiful album. For the two ignorant music hater that gave this album two stars, it just shows their ignorance and superficiality. Listen to me, if you enjoy any kind of intellectual activity this peaceful score is one that sharpens
