Why doesn't iTunes know good music
I realize that iTunes ripped these guys apart, but honestly, give them a chance. Snakes is the kind of band that you listen to to hear a funky drum beat and silly lyrics. Take them with a light heart, they are really pretty funky and all. iTunes you can have Britney Spears and Nelly all to yourself, I'll keep my hopelessly catchy snakes say hisss
Are you crazy!!!
This is one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. Jamie Ayers and Sam Skarstad create an electronic soundscape you want to loose yourself in. The hooks in "I'm a Doll" are alone reason to buy this album. Jamie Ayers' lyrics, while seeming dismissivly adolescent at first listen, are often very clever-Chek out "Avalon" and "Talk". Any album that opens with the line "Im a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, lesbian savant" is worth giving a listen. It's this sense of humor that propells the album forward. Snakes don't take themselves too seriously, but this is a seriously great collection of songs you might want to get your grove on to. Itunes needs to give this album a much needed second listen.
