So hot it melted all the snow
Loving the combination of real hip-hop and Christmas music. Finally some tunes I can rock around the holidays that won't get played out. Absolutely love the cover concept too. Excellent work Illect! You've got a big fan. Much love.
New Concept
Christmas time rolls around and CD stores get their cliched, repackaged albums of endless and timeless Christmas hits every year. "So and So's R&B Christmas renditions, or Billy Beepee's country version of White Christmas." Its always a consumer trap. Why not some new Christmas music, with some dope beats and rhymes as the icing? Get this album which features some really well-produced concept beats, doing original rhymes and songs about the Christmas season. Personal favorite has to go to "Jingle Bell Knock," a cynical yet truthful analysis of the Christmas season, done well by the rap screw Scribbling Idiots. Sintax the Terrific brings his intellect-laced lyrics to the season with his few songs on the album, and "Maria," a jazzy shake-up by Elias, is a nice spice hit for your eardrums. Pick up this Christmas album, which is timeless, but unlike every other repackaged hit you've heard every year, is original. Go ILLECT Records, music for the mind and for the Christmas season.
