Really!?!

Not really worth buying...

Great dark, experimental stuff for the open minded

This is a great way for death metal fans to get into a different form of music. The only band I'm familiar with here is Laibach and that is only from Trey Azagthoth talking about them. This stuff is very heavy and dark. This is a lot more intense than most nu-death metal that's out today. I saw a review for this in Decibel magazine that made it out to be a complete joke, with references to "Too Extreme!" and such. The real joke is some 20 year old douche who thinks he sits on high and can judge Morbid Angel. They have dedicated their lives to this music while all you critics just sit behind your keyboard and try and tear it down. What have you contributed? I will buy this at the store so I can have the 'hard' copy of it, because I support Morbid Angel 100%.

Whatever people..

I konw that alot of purists hate this and hated the real album as well but I have been a fan of Morbid Angel since most of you weren't even a thought in your daddy's testes. I think that what they have done here nothing less than brave and it shows that there are more ways than one to be heavy and that's an acheivement in itself. I want to tell David, Trey and co. that they still have lots of love here and always will. I appreciate what you guys are doing and have done for the metal community. Your contributions are endlessly inspiring and I personally think that this is great. It's dark, ambient, evil sounding and experimental. What is metal if not against the grain? This is that in spades.

Groups like Venom, Mercyful Fate, and Slayer may have founded death metal in the early '80s, but it wasn't until such disciples as Morbid Angel came along at the close of the decade that the genre was pushed to its most extreme level, both musically and lyrically. Formed in 1984 in Florida, Morbid Angel (along with Death) would also help spearhead an eventual death metal movement in their home state, which would include such notables as Deicide and Obituary, among countless others. From its inception,...
