Martina McBride's 10th album, Shine is filled with a palpable excitment. The songwriter, performer, and producer known all over the world as one of country's music's brightest stars has created a ringing, rocking pop-country album that has all of the energy of her earliest releases but with a bit more confidence and swagger. The album is the first production collaboration between her and Dann Huff (Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban) and there's a definite youthful resonance here. One listen to "Ride" or the joyous opening strains of "Wrong Baby Wrong Baby Wrong" will show you where she's at. "Sunny Side Up" is a glorious blend of harmony, jangling guitars, and twang. Even the quiet, acoustic moments like "I'm Trying" and "Lies" deliver big drama in their solitary confines. The always-reliable McBride continues to demonstrate why her brand of melodic twang resonates with so many.

This album represents how far Martina McBride has truly come. She continues to prove her amazing talent again and again. This album gives us a fresh Martina sound with her classic ballads to a new but true to herself upbeat sound. This CD is powerful with stand out hits such as Lies and Im Trying. Just listening to this album will put you in a better mood. She has the ability to truly touch people through her voice. BUY this album and you will not be disappointed!! SHE IS AMAZING!!!! Plus if you have never had the chance to see her in concert you have truly missed out.
Back with a bang!
Martina McBride truly shines with her latest album "Shine." The minute you turn it on you're hypnotized...sucked in by powerful lyrics and Martina's phenomenal vocals. There is not a bad song on here! Each song is different yet it all comes together to form an amazing, solid, cohesive album that shines from the very first song to the last.
If you are contemplating buying this album...contemplate no more. This album is gold! It's just so amazing and wonderful...truly a smart and wonderful buy...You won't be sorry, I promise :).

Martina is never one to disappoint and this cd is no exception. Her message and her music are positive, beautiful, and inspired... but with an exciting edge! I love Wrong Baby Wrong Baby Wrong and Don't Cost A Dime. I also love the sheer, raw emotion in Lies. This cd is not to be missed! I have to say that I love every song on this cd and that is rare for me. Every artist, every cd, I find at least a couple of songs that don't do much for me, but not this time. Martina definitely "Shines"!
