classic conscious underground bay hiphop
l*ron is an incredibly gifted - and slept-on - emcee from the bay. pick up imaginarium if you appreciate smooth, soulful, positive lyricism over organic, jazz influenced beats. i was lucky enough to see L live many times and he's an amazing performer and person. if you like groups like the living legends, freestyle fellowship (aceyalone in particular), zion i, hiero, latyrx, or emcees like black thought, pharoahe monch or common, get this album. you won't be sorry.
Masterpiece!!
I first heard L'roneous on Elusives "element of a prototype 2.0" then again on Purposely Powerful. Im impressed with the caliber of an m.c that L'Ron is, his poetic style takes you to soaring heights, and his message delivers a punch with every song. Imaginarium is an excellent album, and it took me a while to find it because it was rare, and it still is. I bought the album cd and I'm glad. I'm also glad that he is from the 'O' (bay area) and more reason to support him. Imaginarium...what a gem! Favorite songs: All of them! 'A place called this'
