Fantastic Little Gem of an Album
I stumbled across this album not long ago and it blew me away with its inventiveness. There are not many artists that can successfully combine jazz, downtempo electronica, hip hop, and soul the way that NickNack does. The standout tracks are Mustard Seed, with its trumpet and sax, and Wind Parade which is some great acid jazz, Salt of the Earth and Improving Silence epitomize downtempo electronica at its best. I would highly encourage that you purchase this album through iTunes beacuse it is extremely difficult to find ($21.50 on Amazon), so the $9.99 price is a steal.

As ooba, ooba stated in her review, Improving Silence takes multiple styles of music and intertwines them wonderfully. Mustard Seed is one of the best tracks on this CD. If one was to purchase any one track from this CD, I would suggest Mustard Seed, as it sets the tone for the entire album.
I bought 20 copies for gifts!
One of the best albums I have heard in a long time, almost as good as watching him in person! If you are ever in Austin catch him live. Great jazz fusion with a blend of so many other gems of music. Not a weak song in the lot! Would love to hear another album with the jazz blend!
