Buxter Hoot'n
This group from San Francisco has all of the talent to make it into the next level of success. Just listen to the lyrics, and if you aren't impressed, listen again because you are missing it. In an age of technically created sound, it is refreshing to hear good ole' electric guitar, drums, and bass. Keep an eye on Buxter Hoot'n, they're going places.
Excellent new album from Buxter Hoot
This album is rocket fuel and adrenaline shot straight into my arm with a nitro glycerin chaser. An emotional roller coaster as I pound the accelerator for all I'm worth. Or something... I'm not really good at writing reviews. Point is, give it a listen.
Everything I like wrapped into one....
This is everything I love about music, and have yet to find outside of the old greats. I am an admitted sucker for singer-songwriters. Give me some rootsy, feel the dirt in your hands sorts of music and I'm good to go. But what this gives me that I crave above all else is a visceral experience of music. Where MY bones, and MY belly respond to voices and instruments, and the words speak to something in my soul. The songs are all so different it is hard not to mention them all, but hillbilly heroin and excused are two of my favorites. Also have to say that having downloaded the album, the excerpts don't do the songs justice. Download anyone one of them and I'm sure you will agree.
