artist with many talents!
I first came to know of Stewart Lewis as a writer whose two novels I immensely enjoyed. I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting him last week at a book signing, and the following evening, he performed his music. What an incredibly talented and generous person! Each song was infused with genuine emotion, and his passion for his craft shined through. His lyrics all told compelling stories, the melodies and harmonies were beautiful, and his use of dynamics enhanced the emotions conveyed in his songs. I bought this CD that night, popped it in my car, and haven’t stopped listening since : ) The happy, upbeat tracks are like anthems, making you smile and sing along, while the slower, tender songs make you introspective, examining the relationships in your own life. I can just imagine hearing many of these songs in movies – in scenes with no dialogue where they are mirroring a character’s emotional journey. Though all of the songs are great, my favorites are “Not a Love Song”, “Less Ordinary”, and “Come Closer.” Hurry up and buy this CD! P.S. Nothing but good things from Stewart Lewis...
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Mr. Lewis's music in a very personal way. My neighbors Brad and Todd had a small gathering of close friends in their backyard where Mr. Lewis was so gracious to perform. To say the very least, I was thoroughly entertained with his ability to connect with the audience while conveying intense passion for his music. Mr. Lewis’s style is calming yet meaningful and I am happy to attest to, not only the excellence of his music, but his distinction as a person. Stewart Lewis is truly a pioneer of sorts.

so nice to hear a pop record with heart... saw him open for shawn colvin, and ever since i've become a huge fan. my fav is "not a love song" and "come closer"
