Customer Reviews
Savor the irony, people!
Nobody seems to understand this record. The guy is as vanilla as they come, and that's the whole point! He respects other musicians in other genres and did this to pay tribute to them while poking fun at his own career. And he did a nice job. That's why they used his version of "Crazy Train" to open the Osbournes (friends of his, by the way). The whole thing's tongue in cheek. We played this all the time at my college radio station back in the day and got nothing buy laughs...exactly as he intended it!
So-called Metal fans can complain all they want
I, being a fan of Motorhead, Katatonia, Iron Maiden, and My Dying Bride (among many others), as well as a die hard attendee of the Walken Metalfest in Germany every year, consider myself to be true metal. A true metal fan can appreciate this album, its wisdom and its novelty uses at parties. If you are TRUE metal, and have a sense of humor, I cannot recommend this album enough.
An AWESOME album, some people just don't get it
I love this album! I am a fan of most of these songs in their original version, but I found this album to be quite hilarious. I love getting friends or whomever to listen to it whenever I can. For those of you who don't get it though, you have to understand that this album is not for the serious listener, but is good for a laugh sometimes, so GET OVER YOUR HATRED AND EMBRACE THE BOONE!
