Kudos to The Echoing Green for a great album! I'm totally enjoying every song...It was worth the wait :)
Lyrically mixed, but artistically amazing!
I have looked forward to a new Echoing Green release for several years. This project delivers the most "new" from EG in a long time. However, there are four covers and three previously released tunes on here, so it's a relative term. That said, Joey Belville and his crew have brought out their most musically amazing effort to date in the almost decade and a half that I've listened to them. Those looking for blatantly Christian lyrics should look elsewhere and the words contained within are generally darker than even Winter of Our Discontent. Overall, I've highly enjoyed In Scarlet and Vile, but not everyone will. I recommend previewing before you buy, especially if you're an existing EG fan.
