Continuing the series that began with 1999's In Search of Sunrise, the seventh volume provides pretty much exactly more of the same: a double-disc-length continuous live mix of new and rare trance remixes of songs by artists ranging from AAA singer/songwriter Cary Brothers (familiar to those who own the Garden State soundtrack) to Russian DJ Existone, whose trance epic "Wounded Soul" is the centerpiece of the sleepily chilled-out second disc. Other highlights include the propulsive Giorgio Moroder-type tick-tock of "Crossroads" by Swedish duo Zoo Brazil; Andy Duguid's dreamy, female-fronted "Wasted"; and Cressida's "6 A.M.," which recalls the old ambient house days. But nearly ten years on, the In Search of Sunrise formula has grown rather stale, turning into little more than pleasant but insubstantial lifestyle music for people who don't actually go anymore to the sort of clubs that play this music, but still want to seem hip.

Trance/Electronic that flows through the heart.

I must say, Tiesto has done it once again. I'm still hard put to make him my personal top wold wide DJ to date. In Search of Sunrise 7: Asia, is a wondrous journey of Trance that will literally throw you onto a cloud of heartfelt bliss. Most of these songs make me feel so alive. That's what this music is meant to do. It's meant to make you feel the energy, the passion, and bliss of it's creator. You can tell Tiesto does what he truly loves, because you can feel it through his work. I highly recommend this CD to any and all who have a love for Trance/Electronic, because let me tell you my friends, it's very much worth every penny. It might take a couple plays for a few of them, but you'll end up falling in love with the majority. I pay respect to artists who have the power to motivate me on an emotional level, this is one of those artists.

What is happening to Tiesto

Whoever wrote the album review is right on. Seems to me that Tiesto doesn't realize that he was mostly loved for his ability to mix hardcore sounds of Trance with beautiful melodies like how he did with his Nyana cd and world tour. I'm a little worried because I'm going to see him live tomorrow in Puerto Rico and even though he has never let me down spinning live, the same thing happened with Oakenfold a few years back, he let me down at a party. In fact Dj Liquid Todd who opened for him stole the show. So I hope Tiesto reads this feedback because we are all fans and we would hate to see him fade away. Tiesto I think you should try to keep up with Paul Van Dyk. I love you man but you need to readjust your latest style.
