Album Review
In Sides isn't Orbital's best album, or their most accomplished, but it is the most definitive. It pulses with the energy of the debut, the lush flow of the second, and the conceptual theme of Snivilisation. The focus this time, though, is ecology. "The Girl With the Sun in Her Head" was recorded on a Greenpeace bus using only solar power, and "Dwr Budr" (Welsh for "dirty water") also criticizes the misuse of natural resources. Phil and Paul's respect for the jungle/drum'n'bass movement showed in the moderate breakbeat rhythms on several tracks. [One of the American releases of In Sides added a bonus disc including "The Saint" single.]

NON-LIVE VERSION!
Where is the non-live version of Halcyon and On and On? Great song but would like the non-live version as well...cant find it! Please throw it on here! Thanks!
The best song is Album-Only!
I'm a big fan of Orbital and I've listened to this CD(s) probably a hundred times. For some reason the CD(s) came in two different versions, with no way of telling them apart unless you opened them. They had the same disk one, but two different disk twos; the version on sale here is the "Saint/Sinner" version; the other version had a 28-minute long version of The Box which was strange because it seemed to be a stringing-together of a few different songs, but wonderful because it ended with a version of The Box (Part 2) that included a vocal track! Anyway, The killer songs on it are The Box (Part 2) and The Girl With The Sun In Her Head, and the latter may well have become my favorite Orbital song of all time. Out There Somewhere (Part 2) is also pretty good; I'm very fond of Part 2's start.
In a class by itself
Lush, wonderful and a bit weird – this is one of the best electronic albums yet, incorporating the beauty of their Snivilisation album with some fantastic production work. I find something new to love about this album each time I listen to it. It's a shame the first edition with the 30-minute, four-part version of The Box is so hard to find!
