Great Album

This is a good selection of recordings by Glenn Miller and the real Glenn Miller Orchestra. These recordings are at least 63 years old and they have not been heavily "cleaned up". "IN THE DIGITAL MOOD" referred to by others is a digital recording from 1983 and the orchestra is a "ghost band" run by the Miller Estate using Miller's original charts.

This is Glan Miller at his best!

I totally agree. Glen Miller and Louis Armstrong have to be the two best jazz musians ever. Glen is oustanding on this record and has all his best songs. Now I'm only 13 so if your deciding to buy this or not, don't blame it on me if you don't like it or not (but thet's not a problem because i can't think of a reason why someone wouldn't like this CD).

In the mood...to write a review.

I am astounded at the fact that no one's written a review for this album so far considering it's been out since this summer. You people need to put down your hip-hoppy songs and start listening to some real jazzy music. Glen Miller is probably the greatest Jazz composer on itunes!! -Love, peace, and turtles Garth.

Miller developed a distinctive sound in which a high-pitched clarinet carried...
