Album Review
The Scorpions' third release, In Trance, continues to display their high-energy music, which is impossible to ignore. With the eyebrow-lifting "Dark Lady" as the opening track, the album immediately captures the listener's attention and keeps it all the way until the end. The interesting title track is clearly the best song of the album, but singles such as the fast-paced "Robot Man" and the hard-rocking "Top of the Bill" also stand out as highlights. Excellent singing and powerful music make this the best Scorpions recording working with Uli Jon Roth.

The start of an incredible run of albums for the Scorps
Although I liked many of the tunes on the album ("Fly to the Rainbow") before this, "In Trance" marked the beginning of one of the hottest metal streaks in history.
Starting with "In Trance" in 1975 and ending with the live double album "Tokyo Tapes" in 1978, the Scorpions could not make a bad album, and it is not a coincidence that these albums were with (former) lead guitarist Ulrich Roth, who left in '77.
For those of you who are only familiar with the Scorpions of the '80's and 90's, please consider a new look at their work from this period--it's a different metal than what you may be used to hearing from the Scorps, but it is addictive--when I heard "Tokyo Tapes" for the first time in eighth grade, I knew that I had to have everything from them that came before it.
Along with UFO, AC/DC and Judas Priest, the Scorpions best music was made from the mid to late 70's, and "In Trance" is an incredible place to start a new relationship with an old friend.
The holy freakin' grail !!!
Thank you iTunes artificial intelligence entity, temporarily guided by the hand of man! This album is a MUST HAVE for all human lifeforms with the rock gene. I have searched, and lo short of about $90 for an import cd to find her of the black and white hot blonde bent over guitar masterpiece. In my opinion some of Uli Jon Riths best guitar work. Every track I Give 5 stars, new listeners check out: Top of the Bill, In Trance, Dark Lady (with UliJon & Klaus both on vocals), Robot Man... there is not a bad track on the whole thing. Purchase this now. Do it.
Best Scorpions album ever
Finally! I was waiting for this album to come to itunes for so long! This is the best Scorpions album ever. Well varied lyrics, and Uli Roth's guitar work is superb. I bought this as on vinyl in '82 and kept it ever since. I believe it should be among the top 100 hard rock albums to date.
