Worship in Response to God’s Faithfulness
In Troubled Times promotes the core of worship… expressing love for our God. The songs on this album are amazing Scripturally-based personal and congregational worship songs. Each one has it’s own flavor and Christian-life themes... all are stirring and wonderfully worshipful. The blend of persuasive vocals, sweet melodies and rock-steady rhythms accompany these praise stimulating, Jesus glorifying lyrics beautifully.

Who knew the Edge had a side gig.
A superb first album from what seems to be a very mature group of musicians. The drums are tight, not showy, with a solid bass accompaniment The guitar on this album will melt your face so bad that your own momma won't recognize you. Also the mix of lead vocals makes each song distinctly highlighted while still remaining a coherent album.
Outstanding Debut by Lighthouse Rising
With "In Troubled Times," Lighthouse Rising has crafted a solid and engaging debut album. Throughout the record, the band demonstrates stellar musicianship and creativity, fusing catchy melodies with a wide range of textures and atmospherics, peppered with guitar hooks and vocal lines that, at times, evoke shades of U2, Coldplay and Delirious.
Lyrically, the album covers a significant amount of territory, including straightforward songs of praise and devotion (Unafraid, An Offering), portraits of brokenness and redemption (Nehemiah's Song, Come to the Waters), and lyrics pulled directly from scripture (Send Me). With this broad approach, Lighthouse Rising has created a record that feels emotionally honest, grounded not only in the realities of life, but also in the inexorable goodness of God.
