A Great Debut--Excellent
Jon McLaughlin puts out an amazing first effort. From the upbeat piano rock melody of Industry, to the haunted lyrically driven effort of "Indiana," McLaughlin manages to squeak past the Freshman failures that many fall into as they try to branch out musically and lyrically. "Human" puts out a melody you just can't get out of your head, and "Praying to the Wrong God" is another example of the vocal mastery McLaughlin displays for most of the album. "Already It" presents a touching melody. McLaughlin has it all--vocals, writing, and an amazing talent on the keyboard to be reckoned with. There are a few snags, slow spots and songs that seems out of key with the rest of the album, but at the end of the day, Indiana is an amazing find and a great CD.

Super Fantastic
Loved his free download of the week (Beautiful Disaster) and then went to his next concert. I highly recommend this CD. I think he's John Mayer meets Ben Folds. And seriously... watch his piano playing live if you ever get a chance... its pretty sweet.
