Unlike that pleather skirt you bought...
from the bargain bin at Target, this bargain you will wear more than once! Not every tune is a gold record waiting to be uncovered but turn this compilation on in the background while your make quesadillas with your friends and there is something for everyone. Not as good as the first but still well worth $3.99.
Wow, iTunes must be suffering head trauma!!!
So I guess iTunes decided to give their holiday present a week late. Much like the first edition of iTunes Indoor Picnic Music compilation, this is easily the best deal you'll find in the store for the next couple of months. Like the previous version, this album covers several different genres. I'll focus on the one I feel comfortable writing about. The acoustic tracks on this album easily justify the money spent. Lets start with the four obvious ones: Griffin House (more upbeat track than the last version), Rosie Thomas, The Be Good Tanyas, and Old Crow Medicine Show (who rocked the stage on Garrison Keller's New Year's Eve special, especially the song with Emmy Lou singing back up). So there you go four tracks, four dollars. Congratulations you now get 13 other tracks as a throw-in prize!! The Barkenaked Ladies (iTunes typo, not mine!!) is not their best, but the Matt Wertz track is one of his better efforts. And frankly, if none of the other 11 tracks interest you, then at least you gave it a listen (or seven - the magic number) and have now broadened your musical horizons. Overall, maybe not as strong as the last edition, but anyone with a legit interest in music would be crazy not to take advantage of this deal!!!
Great music for a great price
This album is a wonderful collection of a variety of music. From folk to alternative to contempary christian, this album is awesome. What a great deal. I can't believe iTunes would sell this much music for such a little price. Get the indoor picnic volume one! It is just as good and just as cheap!!!
