Horrible...

First off, why re-make Ministry? They're not dead. And, why the hell are these crappy bands that weren't even good in the first place re-making them? This is just horrible. there were no reviews and I just wanted to warn everyone to not even sample this crap. It doesn't even deserve a star, but I had to put one.

I have to agree

I love Ministry, and I was very excited to see a tribute album. They even picked some good songs (although my favorite isn't here). I even like some of the bands (PIG, Hate Dept.). But there really aren't any good covers here. It's too bad. It really could have been a great tribute, but it just didn't work out. If you must pick one, I like Effigy well enough, but not enough to buy it.

Pretty awesome, despite the other reviews

Ministry being my favorite band, I couldn't pass this up at Best Buy (sorry itunes), having only heard a tiny clip of Just One Fix by the Shizit. 1) Land of Rape and Honey: Pretty good, definitely captured the aggression of the original song with less of the fleeting, weak drums and more sampling. 2) Just Like You: Not bad at all, kind of slow compared to the original (or maybe it's just me) but not a bad attempt 3) Work For Love: Not that great, the original was way better. 4) Effigy: Same as above, not nearly as good as the original. 5) Just One Fix: AWESOME. I almost prefer it to Ministry;'s version. My favorite track on the album . The Shizit (a great band, you should check them out) definitely did this song justice. 6) Scarecrow: Hated it. Horrible cover. The stupid intro and the singers voiced bugged the living crap out of me. 7) The Angel: Great cover, like the original with more instrumentation and better quality basically. 8) The Cannibal Song: Not that good. Nothing special here. 9) So What: Okay, not too good but not horrible. 10) Every Day is Halloween: Cool take on a real old song, turned it from a interesting synthpop song into a strong industrial song. 11) Revenge: Awesome. A lot like the Angel in that it was similar to the original but redone MUCH better. 12) Thieves: Ministry's version was sick... this one sucked.
