I waited 3 years for this??
Ben Bridwell's voice is the only thing worthwhile on this album. I guess the real songwriters left the band after Everything All The Time and Cease To Begin. The lyrics on this album are pure lazy, uninspired, and at times ridiculous. The years of constant touring and festival shows seems to have burned out what was once a promising endeavor by Ben. I'm absolutely disappointed after waiting three years for these new BOH tunes. I saw BOH at The Earl in Atlanta in 2007 and was blown away by the performance, to this day I say it was among the top 3 shows I have ever seen. I'm afraid a show with these Infinite Arms songs would make me sleepy and bored. If you have followed BOH since the beginning you owe it to yourself to check out Grand Archives, the band formed by Mat Brooke who left BOH after Everything All The Time. I won't say that it blows this new version of BOH away but it's obvious who the creative one was during the creation of the first album. Is there something toxic about Ben Bridwell considering he is the only original member remaining from BOH? Only the guys who have played with him know what has gone down but it begs the question when the band moves from Seattle to South Carolina, all the original members leave him, and now they leave Sub Pop for Columbia. What's your purpose Mr. Bridwell?

I am a huge Band of Horses fan.....HUGE!!! I found the ganging up of people singing the melodies a little redundant and annoying. I love the lead singers voice. It is such a distinctive sound, and I want to hear it more in all the songs. Ugh I am really disappointed. There are a few trax on this album i will buy, but for the most part....get rid of the touring band in the studio....BORESVILLE!!!! Go back to the sonic magic of what made Band of Horses so amazing. Keep the touring band for the ROAD!
A Classic Album
From Factory to Neighbor are some damn good tunes. Factory, Compliments, Laredo is one great start to an album then Blue Beard and one of my favorites On My Way Home. Love the vocals on Infinite Arms and the more i listen to Dilly the better it gets. Evening Kitchen is my least favorite song, just doesnt do it for me like the rest of the album. Older is a great live tune id imagine and got such a country feel to it, I think the keyboard player wrote it. Then For annabelle, again I love the vocals. NW Apt gets your attention and Neighbor seems like a very fitting song to end an album. This music is so much better than the garbage on the radio. Band of Horses deserve the limelight.
