This is different in a good way.
This is a new direction, and it doesn't settle into an easy groove that'll put a listener into a comfortable trance, but I don't believe that was ever the intention. It's definitely experimental. It has some bite, but there is evidence of experience as well. Every member of the band knows enough to make something work even when it's dancing on the edge of chaos. I really like it. I liked the old bands that disappeared in the making of this one, but I see big possibilities here and I hope that it works. It worked on this album and I'm glad to have the chance to listen again and again.
MY NEW FAVORITE BAND
This album is amazing when i first heard wooden soldiers on purevolume i knew i found something lovely in music. i was amazed wooden soldiers, sandstorm, Born in the rainy Days of May, and Canyonlands are my favorte tracks. this album is so good it like opens a new door in music and it sounds so real. YEah well buy this it would so not be a waste of your money
Sort of.
I've been a huge fan of The Starting Line ever since I was introduced to the song "Best of Me" from the album "Say it Like You Mean it." Kenny Vasoli is probably one of my favorite singers and writers, and it gave me a mix of feeling when he released this album. I've read how he changed music styles on The Starting Line's Myspace page, and it just gave me a thought that he won't be making The Starting Line's music anymore. What happened to the other band members? I don't own this album yet, but I will soon, I hope. All I've seen is their live shows on Youtube, and I prefer "Sunshine" and "Wooden Soldiers" best.
