Climbing Up A Sturdy Ladder
Carptree continue to impress after their seemingly impossible to top soundscapes of "Mad Made Machine". Insekt is haunting, exciting, emotional, foreboding, and heartwarming. The album is a thinker, although at times it will make you want to just move yourself in dance. It will leave you wanting to listen again, and again. I highly recommend this to fans of thick foreboding soundscapes. Particularly those interested in a melancholic electronic sound. The lyrics have some real meaning here, contemplating different thoughts and issues that lie in the back of people's minds. Once again, this album is a thinker. Not for the passive listener. Purchase/enjoy/live.
