Customer Reviews

Not their best..

I have been a big fan of White Heart for about ten years. I have all of their albums. This one is not the best of them. To me the album sounds rushed. The song writing is less than what I have come to expect from the band. There are some decent songs (even a couple of good ones) but over all, I wouldnt recomend the album as a whole. If your new to White Heart and looking to check out some of their music, I would reccomend trying the "Tales of Wonder" or "Powerhouse" albums.

Changes

This is the next to last of Whiteheart's album output, and it marked a style change from the big arena rock of the previous several albums to an aggressive mid-90's sound, mixing grinding rock with acoustic based rock. It was the "modern" sound of the 90's, and they do it well. Fans of the old sound had trouble adjusting to this (see the other review), but it was the band's attempt to stay current. Standouts are Inside Out, Living Sacrifice, Find A Way, You Can't Have.... A very good album that didn't sell as well as it should have.

great tunes!

This album has to be one of my faves. I've seen the band do this one live, & it just rocks! "You can't take..." & "Ritual" speak volumes to me because of the lyrics. Take a listen, you won't be dissapointed.

After debuting with a self-titled effort issued on the Home Sweet Home label, Green exited the line-up, and was replaced by vocalist Scott Douglas for 1984's Vital Signs; another roster swap exchanging Dann Huff for guitarist Gordon Kennedy again shook up the Whiteheart...
