Sax is amazing!!
Amazing!! Some of the best saxophone playing you'll hear today. Carl Cox is the phenomenal saxophone player you will hear on this album. If you don't believe that he is phenomenal, just download "Under Pressure" and listen to it right now (trust me, it's worth it). Carl Cox was my high school jazz band teacher and I even took private lessons with him for a year or two, and he has helped me to become the saxophone player and jazz lover that I am today. I kid you not, he is unbelievable and way too under-credited. Check him out. Carl, as well as the entire band, can really kick it in to high gear on songs like "Under Pressure" and "Chicken On the Bone", and they can bring it way down to a smooth and relaxing sound as well on tunes like "Sunrise" and "Blessed Assurance". Seriously, if you love jazz, and especially if you love jazz saxophone, download this awesome album. Go Carl!!

This is exciting fusion-infused funk from the City of Brotherly Love, and it’ll get ya goin’… guaranteed. D-For, an exceptional group of musicians from Philly and New Jersey, has packed their latest release INTERSECTION with soulful, energetic performances, including a couple of passion-filled ballads (“Sunrise,” the first single, and the bookend track “Sunset”) as perfectly-paced change-ups. This is a most excellent collection of a dozen originals, plus a nice, fresh cover of Aretha’s hit “Until You Come Back To Me” and the Gospel classic “Blessed Assurance.” What is really going to blow you away when you listen to this project is the consistently remarkable musicianship, production, and over-riding positive vibe of this whole album. It’s got the fusion, it’s got the funk, it’s got the jazz, and it most definitely has got the soul! Taken as a whole, D-For’s INTERSECTION checks in as a can’t-miss CD, destined to be an unqualified success for this awesome Philadelphia band! ~SCOTT O'BRIEN
