Stick with the original

I don't like all of the Meet me Halfway songs in this album. They should just stick with the original Meet me Halfway instead.

Not bad

I enjoy this song and this video a lot. Out of the remixes here, I enjoy the "Meet Me Halfway (IN 3D) [Will.i.am Remix} version the most from these mixes. So far, this seems to be Fergie's best vocal performance since joining with the Black Eyed Peas.

Some tracks were not meant to be remixed...

...and this is one of them. Why? Because the heart and soul of the song is Fergie's vocals (the best she's ever done). Remixes tend to downplay vocals for added beats, bells and (especially in the rancid Will.i.am mixes, whistles). What this does is undercut the track's insistent and building tension. I love this song -- in fact, I became a Peas fan because of it, but these mixes are a sad disappointment. If they're not by-the-numbers like the Vission Remix, they're just plain bad, the bleats of sheep being slaughtered.

Genre: Hip Hop/Rap

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

The Black Eyed Peas transcended hip-hop to become one of the most commercially successful pop groups of the 2000s. Ignited by the Top Ten hit “Where Is the Love?” and the Grammy-winning party anthem “Let’s Get It Started,” the group scored three multi-platinum albums in 2003’s Elephunk, 2005’s Monkey Business,...
