So you can say you knew them...
I've seen these guys in concert, and when you hear their stuff, you instantly know you've found something big. Fantastic musicians (who each play multiple instruments), and a lush, rock-y, indie-flavored masterpiece. All I can say is, get the album. The bonus is that then you can feel smart that you discovered them before the rest of the world did.
Great Album, Great Songs, From start to finish!
This is a great album! Tightrope Hill is a really cool track. It is on the level with Death Cab. Good song writing with great musical feel. Something new and different with each song.
Simply that Good
Fictionist is a band comprised of six artists who each hold an unfair portion talent- but this is precisely what makes the band so exceptional. The music and lyrics are intelligent. The unique quality is apparent- this is no cookie-cutter band. These guys feel their music; it comes not from a desire for fame and glory, but for the love of a well-produced song that has a piece of each band member in it. This album is deliberate, soulful, and creative (to say the least). It's an album that is just waiting for you to turn it up and feel what it's got to bring; it'll make you move your crazy feet one minute and contemplate the next. And if these guys are in your neck of the woods, their music just comes alive on stage; go see them. This is a top-ten all-time favorite worthy album and band.
