Invisible Inc.
Invisible Inc. proves to be a talented group of collaborators, artisans, and activists on their debut album "Invisible Inc." Lead vocalist Watsky brings rhymes and lyrically allignments to the table that prove both heady and strong, yet not overburdening. Empowering to listen to, the trio leaves much thought to the audience/listener, provoking comparisons that extend beyond the direct and even metaphorical. Politically-driven, Invisible add a sense of efficacy to a poseur-laden scene, and prove their worth through the profound grouping of an inventive Riera, Miller-Loran, and Watsky. A must buy for 2007-08!
This is hip-hop
With the excessive amount of bad mainstream hiphop and rap that is infiltrating our society, Invisible Inc. has put together a terrific debut album. With a mix of Hip Hop and Jazz influences, the group moves from political commentary to a host of other topics. With head emcee, HBO Def Poet, and Grand Slam poetry champion, George Watsky, tears it up with a mixture of speeds and textures, complimented beautifully by the accompanying live and synthed instrumentals. The album is fun, and it is GOOD!!! Any fans of Hip-Hop should get this immediately. One of the real up-and-coming underground groups right now. Invisible Inc pushes the boundaries of hip-hop, mixing jazz and hiphop and has come up with a fabulous debut album. I look forward to seeing more of them in the future. 5 Stars no doubt!!!
