Album Review

At the time of their debut album, INXS had not developed a signature style, playing a competent but unremarkable variation on droning new wave synth pop. Although Michael Hutchence already exuded a powerful vocal charisma, the only time INXS springs to life is when the group hints at the R&B and dance roots that would form the basis of their biggest hits.

Simple, quality work

A great album that has a garage feel that is nothing like some of the more popular overproduced INXS work. This and Shabooh Shoobah are the only INXS albums I have owned for a reason.

Simple Simon

First of all Simple Simon is found a compilation album called Inxsive, very difficult to find. Second, what a great debut album, of course we only discover this after many years of listening to the rest of their classic stuff!!! Love it all!!!

INXS hailed from the pubs of Australia, which is part of the reason the band never comfortably fit in with new wave.
