If you are a fan of Irving Berlin's masterpiece White Christmas then you would be better off with the movie starring Bing Crosby. This CD doesnt cut it, all you need to do is listen to the people on this and you will notice that the songs dont have the same fun energy as they do when Bing and his other co-stars sing on these numbers.
WHITE CHRISTMAS - the stage version
This is a WONDERFUL adaption of the movie that was released in 1954.. It was first shown at the ST LOUIS MO "The Muny" where Mr Blake first produced it! I have seen 3 revisions of this show and this recording is VERY MUCH a superb rendition and faithful to the Original score.. Remember, this IS the STAGE version not the movie... GO SEE LIVE THEATRE to enjoy it more!! By all means, purchase this treasure!
Loved this production!
I got the opportunity to see this production twice, and it was simply one of the most enjoyable stage musicals I've ever seen.
I was a long-time fan of the film, but this cast won me over within minutes.
For those movie fans, take my word for it, you can enjoy this production.
