Album Review
Smitty's third holiday album was epic in scope, with four choirs and a 65-piece orchestra offering plenty of Christmas grandeur. Close to half of the album is instrumental, which drew comparisons to 2000s Freedom. The vocal numbers like "The Promise" and "Christmas Morning" draw Smith's trademark personal touch. The album falls somewhere between 1989's Christmas and 1998's Christmastime, utilizing the full sound of the backing groups to its greatest extent. In its best moments, the album exudes the same mastery of the adult contemporary sound as Jim Brickman's The Gift. Give credit to this contemporary Christian vet for adding so richly to the Christmas songbook at a point in his career that so few reach and at which even fewer make meaningful contributions to their respective genres.

Dubs Does it AGAIN!
Wow, just listening to this album makes me feel like I am 5 years old again. Michael Dubs is a musical genius. The music in this album, along with the sounds of the choir, the lyrics of worship, this will go down as one of the best ORIGINAL Christmas albums ever made.
Christmas comes early!
As a devoted MWS fan, I eagerly anticipated the arrival of this album, but I wasn't prepared for this magnificent gem! Smith doesn't disappoint his fans - the rich orchestration and Smitty's classic piano work is pure Christmas magic! I normally wait until mid-November to begin my annual Christmas music marathon, but this year, I'm already humming "What Child is This?" I'm playing this cd night and day in my house! Anyone who loves Christmas music will treasure this cd! Buy it all! You won't be sorry!
A Must-Have for All Christmas Addicts
No fan of Christmas music would be surprised to learn that Michael W. Smith has the Christmas music formula down like no other. But here he reinvents himself and his music and takes the genre of holiday music to an incredible new level. Forget ordering song by song, get the whole CD in one swwop. The arrangements, musicians, songs and entire track list is first rate. Listening to this compared to other new holiday releases sets Mr. Smith apart by light years. This work is outstanding. I can't recommend it enough! (If only iTunes let me award 10 Christmas Stars!)
