Album Review
Every powerful note from the former Idol makes you wonder where all the big-voiced singers have gone. Mandisa again delivers with grace, elegance, and darn it, a little pep! A whirlwind of styles and sounds accompany her every note, from classic Motown to orchestrated pop to eye-wetting balladry. The disc has only one misstep among its many gems. Her attempt at a diva-esque rendition of "Feliz Navidad" is as awkward a fit as her take on Shania Twain that got her booted off American Idol. This being the only unnatural fit, however, it's easily forgiven since it has more to do with the voice not matching the genre than it does with a lack of power or showmanship. With Mandisa, big notes almost always pay off, and these holiday renditions are no exception.

It's Christmas
This is an awsome Album... Mandisa totaly brings the Christmas Spirit out in this album. You will love her new songs (what Christmas Means to Me, Christmas makes me Cry, and Christmas Day... the song in which Michael W. totaly arranges... You wil also love the traditional songs, which Mandisa adds her style yet keeps the traditional feelings you love. This is an excellent CD to play in the morning when the Presents are being opened. Or at a Christmas Party. And most of all the Baby who's Birthday we celebrate is lifted UP!!!
Saw her live!
I saw Mandisa's Christmas concert live last week and couldn't wait to get her Christmas album. Wow! So much energy! I love every song, but her version of Little Drummer Boy is the best I've ever heard! If you want a Christmas album to dance around your house with, make you cry (Christmas Makes Me Cry and O Holy Night), AND to keep you focused on THE reason for the season, look no further!
