Nice, but not new
Firstly, I love Jewel's music. I own every album, and I have seen her in concert approximately ten times. I purchased this today, immediately because it does have several songs she recorded in a studio just for iTunes. They are not new songs, but new recordings. There are also some stock songs right off albums. The interviews and poetry inserted between the songs are really nice. It gives the album a nice feel, if you listen straight through. The work on this is 5 stars. I give 4 stars only because some songs are the stock songs you find on the albums, and the iTunes originals are great new recordings, but the same songs we all love. If you're new to Jewel, I'd probably recommend you check out one of her complete early albums: Pieces of You, Spirit, or This Way. After that, explore the more recent, but equally as interesting works.
Jewel remains authentic, delivers another power album
If you want to listen to Jewel at her best, buy this album. If you want to discover an artist that is authentic, raw, and cryptic, then buy this album. If you are tired of so-called “musicians” who are edited and enhanced and lack genuine talent, then buy this album from a true artist. Jewel writes from the heart, plays from the heart, and sings from the heart. She is honest in her expression, never apologetic. Her voice is amazing. I’m glad that after 12 years and several albums, some things never change.

this is a good recollection of her some live performances, interviews, and songs. they are all good. she can really sing, she has such a good voice and the itunes orginals album really encompasses that. can't wait for your new music!! good job j.
