Great, but....
There are some lovely performances here, but save yourself a few bucks by only buying the "iTunes Originals Version" tracks - the rest are old album cuts and 20-second interview bits.
WHY do they cut off the interview tracks?
First off I have to say Neko Case is one of my all time favorite artists....and I love the live paired down versions recorded for this album..BUT I am so irritated that the interview tracks are cut off mid sentence and we never really get to learn anything about the songs she is talking about. WHY??? 18 seconds is not an interview, it is a sound bite. VERY disappointed about this, I have all the songs already, I was interested in the interviews, it was the only reason I bought it. I wish I had notice the length of the interview tracks before purchase. Music = 5 stars, interviews= 1 star, therefore average = 3 stars.
i-Tunes Fraud, Great Music though
The title says "i-Tunes Originals". It is not. Of the ten songs, only 6 are "i-Tunes Originals". The way they have packaged this makes it look like a bunch of interviews and songs. The interviews are interesting and Neko and co. sound great as always. But $9.99 for 6 songs and some sound bites is ridiculous. It's great for Neko to do this, but i-Tunes is taking us for a ride.
