New era of Grind
The guy who gave it one star is a complete fool, for bagging a band, for not following a uniform influence? Grow up dude, why do bands have to draw influence from other bands? IWABO pioneers thier own sound in a new way, and the end result could very well be the new sound of Grind to come.
Very Impressive!
I heard Smells like Kevin Bacon on Sirius Radio and decided to check out the band. IWABO plays an interesting mix of styles. I guess the heavy parts are grindcore/deathcore influence while the mellow parts....i really don't know how to describe them...melodic easy listening? I really like the almost Mr. Bungle mix of styles and the fact this band sounds like they are having fun. I have to give props to the female vocalist. Her death metal vocals absolutely destroy must of the deathcore weiners out there, plus her high pitch screams sound so powerful. She can also sing in key and is very good!? My only complaint with the band would be to change up some of the mellow parts basically they sound kind of samey. I get the girl can wail..why not try some other type of singing style than the melodic moan. Other than that fantastic, lots of promise out of this band.
Best in the gXc genre to date.
I'm just wondering where Tastes Like Kevin Bacon is. I mean, I have the song already but still. I'd love to have an iTunes Plus quality version of it. I just recently discovered IWABO but I'm an unbelievable fan of their work. A woman screaming for once has never sounded so amazing. <3
